Fedor Emelianenko is a legendary Russian MMA fighter who has never signed with the UFC. The main reason for this is because of the lengthy contract negotiations with the UFC. Fedor was not willing to sign the deal proposed by the UFC as his requests did not fit into the UFC’s business model. Additionally, Fedor was unwilling to sign to an exclusive contract and would have preferred to fight in other promotions as well. As a result, the UFC and Fedor could not come to an agreement and ultimately Fedor never signed with the UFC.
