WhatsApp and text messaging are both forms of electronic communication over a mobile device’s cellular network. The main difference between them is that WhatsApp messages are sent and received over the Internet, whereas text messaging is sent and received over a cellular network. WhatsApp does not require a cellular network connection; instead, users can access WhatsApp by connecting to their home or office Wi-Fi networks. In terms of features, WhatsApp offers a range of communication options, such as voice and video calls, group chat, document sharing, and more. Text messages, on the other hand, are limited to plain text messages. Additionally, WhatsApp messages are usually more secure than text messages, as end-to-end encryption is available on WhatsApp, but not on text messages.
