Kim Kardashian West has been accused of peddling “false hope” in her endorsement of a card game app which promised users real money. The celebrity was allegedly promoting a fantasy version of blackjack, called “Kardashian Kard,” which promised players a chance to win real cash prizes by playing the game. The game also had an in-app purchase that allowed players to buy virtual currency, which players had to purchase in order to play the game. The lawsuit alleged that celebrities and professional athletes were allowed to purchase virtual currency with real money and were then given special privileges that regular players did not have access to. It was alleged that Kim Kardashian West used her celebrity to deceive players into believing they had a real chance of winning real money by playing the game.
