A “no contest” in the UFC refers to when a fight ends in an inconclusive result and neither fighter technically wins or loses the bout. This can occur due to a fighter’s injury or an illegal move or gesture. The referee may also declare a no contest if a fighter is deemed unable to continue the fight due to an illegal move.
