The numbers in UFC refer to the rankings of the Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters. The rankings are determined by wins, losses, and level of competition in each division. Any fighter competing in the UFC, regardless of their weight class, will be assigned a number according to these rankings. The numbers also act as an indicator to match-makers and promoters when deciding who will face off against who in upcoming matches.
